N ASCAR Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen is in serious but stable condition at a Quebec hospital after being injured in a horrific crash while competing in the Super DIRTcar Series King of the North race at Autodrome Drummond on Monday night. Friesen, 42, suffered pelvic and leg fractures, among other injuries.

Stewart Friesen suffered pelvic and leg fractures in a fiery crash, but has apparently avoided any head, neck or spine injuries, according to his wife.

NASCAR Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen was injured in a dirt modified car crash on Monday night. According to his wife Jessica, Friesen suffered “an unstable/open-book pelvic fracture, meaning his pelvis is broken in two or more places” and there is a large hematoma on his pelvis. Additionally, Friesen suffered a fractured right leg.
