Tiger Woods is a doubt for the Players Championship after saying his "heart is really not into practising right now".

Tiger Woods seemed to suggest Tuesday night that he is unlikely to compete at next week’s Players Championship.

The 15-time major champion said after his final TGL match that “my heart is really not into practicing right now” and that he won’t look at playing until that changes.

Tiger Woods is among the names listed in the field for the Seminole Pro-Member. The event, annually held the day after the Cognizant Classic, is a chance for members of the prestigious Florida club to hobnob with PGA Tour players at one of the best courses in the country.

This is the final year in which Woods is exempt for the competition on the back of his win at the 2019 Masters.

As a two-time Players Champion, we would love to have Tiger back in the field at TPC Sawgrass this year.- he said.

It doesn't look like Tiger Woods will be playing in next week's Players Championship, if his remarks at Tuesday's TGL event are any indication. With the Masters looming five weeks away, it may prove a challenge for the 15-time major champion to be ready for Augusta.
