Mikel Arteta has said he expects Gabriel Magalhães, Jurriën Timber and Riccardo Calafiori to be fit for the start of the Premier League season.

Arteta confirmed defenders Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori will miss the match through injury while new signings Viktor Gyokeres will be assessed by the medical team today to determine whether he can be involved.

The reshaping of the Arsenal squad is just one of the adaptations Arteta is making in his quest to end Arsenal’s wait for silverware. “The only thing that (the players) were talking about at the end of last season and the first day through the door is, ‘OK, how are we going to be better?
