The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to lift a court order blocking immigration stops a judge found to be indiscriminate in Southern California.

(Reuters) -President Donald Trump's administration turned to the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday in an effort to defend its aggressive immigration raids after a federal judge in Los Angeles blocked agents from profiling individuals based on race or language in pursuit of deportation targets.

Gov. DeSantis' administration is apparently preparing to build a second immigration detention center, awarding at least one contract for the facility.

A federal judge is hearing arguments about an immigration detention center in the Florida Everglades, known as “Alligator Alcatraz.”
