Katie Ledecky returned to the top of the podium at the World Aquatics Championships after delivering a gold medal-winning performance in the 1,500-meter freestyle.

Summer McIntosh is off to a perfect start at the swimming world championships with two gold medals in two days. The 18-year-old Canadian star took the 200-meter individual medley by clocking 2 minutes 06.

McIntosh is aiming to win five gold medals in individual events at the worlds in Singapore, and the first one came Sunday in the 400-meter freestyle on the first of eight days in the pool. Only legendary American Michael Phelps has ever won five individual medals in the worlds. He also did it at the Olympics.
