President Donald Trump boasted that he would save the popular social media platform TikTok from a ban in the U.S. And that still could happen. However, according to those close to the talks, negotiations between the U.

TikTok’s Chinese owner is slow-rolling negotiations for a sale, as the Trump administration seeks to broker a deal.

A bipartisan bill to ban DeepSeek AI from governmental devices has been introduced, as other lawmakers call the AI "TikTok on steroids."

The bill comes after an analysis of DeepSeek was found to have intentionally hidden code that could send user log-in information to China Mobile.
