Lawmakers called for Italy’s conservative government to do more to secure the repatriation of two nationals held at the new facility in Florida’s Everglades.

Two Italian nationals living in the United States are among the inmates currently being held at the ICE detention center known as “Alligator Alcatraz” in Florida, according to Italy’s foreign ministry.

Alligator Alcatraz, the migrant detention center in the Florida Everglades, is surrounded by swamps infested with massive Burmese pythons.
