LAS VEGAS — A crosswalk where a high school senior was struck and killed in Las Vegas will receive safety enhancements, city officials said Wednesday.
Las Vegas officials said roads will be improved around Arbor View High School after 18-year-old McKenzie Scott was killed in a marked crosswalk by an alleged drunk driver.
"Urban trees are not a silver bullet for cooling our cities, particularly for desert cities like Las Vegas," Henao said. "But they provide significant shade and, of course, other benefits.
