MSNBC finalized its revamped schedule on Monday, promoting progressive anchors Jen Psaki and Symone Sanders-Townsend to primetime while booting its largely non-white weekend lineup of hosts off their namesake shows.
The network is making plans to launch a show featuring The Weekend anchors Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele and Alicia Menendez into the 7 p.m. ET slot, according to a source familiar with the matter. The show would run for two hours on Mondays and for one hour from Tuesday to Friday.

MSNBC is set to drop Joy Reid's "The ReidOut," which will air its final show on the network this week, TheWrap has learned. The cancellation is part of Rebecca Kutler's vision for the network moving forward.
Ms. Reid’s 7 p.m. program will be replaced by a panel show co-hosted by Symone Sanders Townsend, Alicia Menendez and Michael Steele.
