A serious water leak has flooded the centre of a village this evening, forcing the closure of the high street.

Ten fire crews have been called to a blaze at a derelict school which has become a target for suspected arson attacks.

Emergency services were called to Long Lane in Southwark at about 1pm on Monday after reports of multiple stabbings inside a commercial property.

Six people have been treated by paramedics following a house fire, after the air ambulance was seen landing nearby.
