The Buffalo Bills officially signed first-round pick Maxwell Hairston, who is expected to compete for a starting cornerback job.

Bills first-round pick Maxwell Hairston's first NFL offseason ended with an injury. Hairston had to leave Wednesday's practice early and the cornerback did not take part in Thursday's minicamp finale at all.

After the Bills successfully completed their first day of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, Wednesday served as a chance to build on those early reps to spot some trends throughout the three-day event. While no jobs are won or lost this time of year,

The Buffalo Bills added a lot of talent on the defensive side of the ball this offseason. They not only signed players such as Joey Bosa, Larry Ogunjobi, Michael Hoecht in free agency, but they also spent six of their nine picks in the 2025 NFL draft on that side of the ball.

It's been all good for the Bills' first-round cornerback until Wednesday in Orchard Park, when Max Hairston exited the practice field after sustaining an apparent left leg injury.
