Gaza health officials and the ambulance service say at least 25 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes and gunshots overnight as ceasefire talks appear to have stalled and Palestinians in Gaza are facing famine.
Israel has long restricted or completely blocked aid to Gaza on the argument that Hamas steals it to use as a weapon of control over the population.
Israeli Foreign Ministry officials staed that Hamas had "only hardened its stance, and in fact, there has been a regression in its position during the negotiations."
The IDF announced killing Hamas counter-intelligence chief Amjad Muhammad Hassan Shaer in northern Gaza, while expanding strikes on targets and continuing ground operations as hostage negotiations with Hamas face setbacks.
