The Yankees will be shorthanded Saturday night because Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton are both out of the lineup vs. Cardinals

With the Yankees improving lately, some players are physically exhausted. Aaron Boone had to address the situation and clarify things regarding Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton, who haven’t been feeling well recently.

The New York Yankees just somehow won two games without Giancarlo Stanton in the lineup. Oh yeah, and Brian Cashman defended Aaron Boone.

With Aaron Judge still limited to DH duty, Cody Bellinger slid to first base in Paul Goldschmidt’s absence and Ben Rice was in at catcher. That left right field to José Caballero, an infielder by trade with just 27 career games in the outfield. Giancarlo Stanton, their hottest hitter, was the odd man out.
