GE Aerospace is planning to invest $20 million at its Asheville manufacturing site, part of a nearly $1 billion investment across the U.S.

CINCINNATI—GE Aerospace plans to invest nearly $1 billion in its U.S. factories and supply chain. The initiative aims to strengthen manufacturing and increase the use of innovative new parts and materials needed for the future of flight.

GE Aerospace is the second international aerospace company to announce a major investment in North Carolina this year. In January, Pratt & Whitney said it plans to add 325 aerospace manufacturing jobs in a $285M expansion of its Asheville facility, where it makes high-tech turbine airfoils, a key component of aircraft engines
