Israel's operation against Iran's nuclear program, military leadership and arsenal of missiles is nowhere near over, with Israel having planned out 14 days of operations, a senior Israeli official said.

The retaliatory strikes came on Saturday, a day after Israel killed top Iranian military leaders and scientists and destroyed an aboveground nuclear enrichment plant near Natanz.

Iranian media reported that Israel struck the South Pars Gas Field in what would be the first attack on an Iranian energy site.

The Israeli military said on Friday it had “significantly damaged” Iran’s uranium enrichment facility at Natanz and that the operation was “still in the beginning.”

Israel has called its military operation against Iran "Rising Lion", taking the name from a biblical verse that promises a victorious future for a powerful Israel.

Israel launched 200 warplanes on some of Iran's core nuclear and missile programs in what's been dubbed the "Rising Lion" operation. Tehran quickly retaliated by sending 100 drones into Israel, which the Israel Defense Forces said were mostly intercepted.

The death toll grew Sunday as Israel and Iran exchanged missile attacks for a third consecutive day, with Israel warning that worse is to come. Israel targeted Iran’s Defense Ministry headquarters in Tehran and sites it alleged were associated with Iran’s nuclear program,
