Mack is a lock to become a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer, with 107½ sacks over his 11-year career. His six sacks last season came with 54 pressures. He also forced seven fumbles over the past two seasons, and Bowles has said he is looking for “ball hawks.”
Mack, 34, was traded to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022, during Ryan Poles' first offseason as general manager as a means to free up salary cap space following the firing of GM Ryan Pace. A potential reunion could find Mack on a one- or two-year deal, where he would bookend the edge opposite Sweat.
