Wegmans has imposed a ten-carton limit on egg purchases as a national bird flu outbreak continues to impact supply. The grocery chain joins other retailers, including Costco, Walmart, and Aldi, in restricting egg sales.

With bird flu impacting flocks in New York, some local grocery stores have put limits on the number of eggs shoppers can buy.

Wegmans' website currently allows customers to buy up to 10 cartons of a dozen eggs or 18-count eggs, with a maximum of 180 eggs. Walmart is reportedly limiting customers to two 60-count cartons per purchase, or a maximum of 120 eggs, “to help ensure more customers can have access to eggs.”
