Disney's acquisition of NFL Network and RedZone gives the company unprecedented control over America's most popular sport.

ESPN and the NFL have announced a deal that will see the sports media channel acquire several NFL assets in exchange for 10% equity in the company. As a part of the deal, ESPN will be acquiring the very popular NFL RedZone channel,

Under the terms, ESPN will acquire NFL Network, NFL Fantasy and the rights to distribute the RedZone channel to cable and satellite operators, and the NFL will get a 10% equity stake in ESPN.
