Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, a possible 2028 presidential candidate, took in Texas Democrats who fled their state to block a Republican-led redistricting plan.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has been accused of hypocrisy for supporting gerrymandered maps drawn by his fellow democrats, while criticizing Texas Republicans for attempting to force changes to the state's redistricting map.

As Gov. JB Pritzker welcomed Texas Democrat state lawmakers who left to prevent the Republican-led general assembly from forcing through a redistricting map that would give the GOP five more seats, he said he has considered redrawing the Illinois map to help offset the gerrymandering gains,
