The National Weather Service has issued heat advisories for the southeastern United States. It's always hot in the summer in the U.S. Southeast, but even by the standards of Florida and the Carolinas, the steamy heat wave on tap for the region Saturday into the coming week is a little extreme.

CLARKSVILLE, TN ( CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Once again, with highs in the mid-90s to start the week and heat indexes expected up to 110 degrees, a Heat Advisory has been issued through Wednesday at 8 p.m. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses, according to the National Weather Service.
