Trump says Ontario ‘shouldn’t be playing with electricity,’ ahead of Ford’s meeting in Washington
U.S. President Donald Trump is chastising Ontario for using electricity as a bargaining tool to fight off his tariff threats as Premier Doug Ford is set to meet with the U.S. commerce secretary in Washington Thursday.
The commerce secretary said any economic downturn would be because of Biden-era policies, arguing that Trump’s tariffs are spurring economic growth in the U.S.
