The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a Class II risk warning for a widespread recall of ice cream products across 23 states, following concerns of Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

In the heat of summer, there's bad news in the ice cream realm. More than 100,000 bars have been recalled over contamination.

Ten varieties of ice cream bars sold in 23 states have been recalled due to a possible listeria contamination. The recall involves several different ice cream bars made by Florida-based Rich Ice Cream Co.
