Three of six suspects are still uncaught after people who “knew each other” had an “interaction” in the store, police said.

LANCASTER, S.C. — Gangs may have been involved in a shooting inside Walmart Tuesday, police said. Three people are now behind bars, according to the Lancaster Police Department. During a news conference Thursday, officers said they’re still searching for more people involved in the shooting.

A third suspect is now charged in connection to a shooting inside the Walmart in Lancaster on Tuesday. A fourth suspect is in the hospital and police are searching for two others.

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. (TNND) — Authorities said a shooting inside a South Carolina Walmart left two people injured and one person detained. "Multiple shots" were fired Tuesday just before 3 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter located at 805 Highway 9 Bypass West in Lancaster.

There was a second suspect, but officials later determined that he “was not part of or had any knowledge of the crime that was going to occur,” they said Wednesday.

Two people were injured Tuesday in a shooting inside a South Carolina Walmart. It happened at a Walmart in Lancaster, near the automotive section of the store. Police officers said three or more people were involved and multiple gunshots were fired. Two men were taken to the hospital with injuries said to be non-life-threatening.

A judge denied bond Wednesday for two suspects involved in a shooting inside the Walmart in Lancaster on Tuesday. Four other people also faces charges in the case.
