San Francisco placed defensive lineman Tarron Jackson on the Injured Reserve List, two days after he suffered a neck injury in a team practice. In a corresponding transaction, the team signed defensive lineman Jaylon Allen, most recently of the United Football League’s Memphis Showboats, to a one-year contract.

The San Francisco 49ers DL who was taken off the practice field on a stretcher won't see the field again any time soon.
He had signed with the 49ers’ practice squad in January before being signed to a futures contract following the 2024 season.
Jackson, 27, is approaching his fourth NFL season and seeking to earn a spot on San Francisco's 53-man roster.
