Delta co-pilot Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, was arrested at SFO for alleged felony sexual abuse of a child by local deputies and federal agents on July 26, Saturday.

The Contra Costa District Attorney's Office has now charged 45-year-old Jennifer Powell in the case. Powell is the mother of the girl who survived the abuse.

Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, was taken into custody shortly after Delta Flight 2809 touched down at about 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said. The sheriff's office said it received a tip about the alleged sex abuse of a child in April. An arrest warrant for Bhagwagar was subsequently obtained.
