Once again, a Los Angeles Angels ' first-round pick has rocketed to the big leagues. The Angels are calling up infielder Christian Moore, reports Baseball America. The team has not confirmed the move. Moore was the No. 8 overall pick in last summer's draft.

The Los Angeles Angels called up top prospect Christian Moore for the first time, adding the second baseman in advance of a three-game road series against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.

Former Tennessee baseball player Christian Moore made his MLB debut for the Angels on Friday. He started at second base and hit in Los Angeles' ninth spot in the batting order. Moore went 0-for-3, including one strikeout, in a, 2-0, loss against Baltimore at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.
