A storm system that killed dozens across the U.S. largely spared the CSRA of damage early Sunday, but there was widespread destruction in some areas of Georgia.The CSRA saw strong gusts, heavy rain, lightning and a series of tornado warnings – although no tornadoes were confirmed.

A deadly storm will push toward the East Coast on Sunday after days of destruction from 81 tornadoes, wildfires and dust storms.

MITCHELL AND COLQUITT COUNTIES, Ga. (WALB) -Storm damage has been reported in parts of Colquitt and Mitchell counties following Sunday morning storms. According to the National Weather Service, there are reports of trees down on Highway 37 near Sale City Road in Mitchell County and trees down on Highway 133 North in Colquitt County.
