There's a chance for stormy weather today, with the biggest concern being fast-moving storms potentially causing straight-line wind damage. Large hail and even a tornado can't be ruled out. Severe weather chances peak from 4 p.

Storm chances are also in the forecast before 9 a.m. as a system moves easterly through our region with winds elevated throughout the day.

A Level 2 Slight risk of severe weather is in place from Tallahassee to Thomasville and back to the west (yellow). For areas to the east, a Level 1 Marginal risk is in place (green). Storms should weaken as they move east. The greater severe weather threat will stay in the Level 3 Enhanced risk for the Florida Panhandle and into Alabama (orange).
