The Cincinnati Bengals may be able to have their cake and eat it, too. Less than 24 hours after word came down the franchise  is inking historic extensions with receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins,

Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins have agreed to terms on the long-term extensions they have wanted for years. Chase agreed to a four-year, $161 million deal that includes $112 million guaranteed.

The Bengals had no choice but to pay Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but the way it was handled with their own fault.

The Cincinnati Bengals have been eyeing a contract extension for Trey Hendrickson after the monster deals for Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Monday, a day removed from reports that the Bengals and Hendrickson had re-engaged in contract talks, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the "uptick" in talks occurred last week.
